Journey To Fame

Justin Drew Bieber was born on March 1st, 1994. He was born in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, and was raised by his single teen mother Pattie Mallette. At the age of 12 Justin entered in a local competition, Justin said, “I entered a local singing competition called Stratford Idol. The other people in the competition had been taking singing lessons and had vocal coaches. I wasn’t taking it too seriously at the time, I would just sing around the house. I was only 12 and I got second place.” Bieber then went on to submit the videos for family and friends on youtube where word spread and he got 10,000,000 purely by word of mouth.

He was spotted by Scooter Braun, who then became his manager. Justin was introduced to Usher and Justin Timberlake in Atlanta, GEORGIA. Justin remembers the first time he met Usher, “Right when we flew into Atlanta, Scooter drove us to the studio and Usher was there in the parking lot,That was my first time ever being out of Canada so I went up to him and was like, ‘Hey Usher, I love your songs, do you want me to sing you one?’ He was like, ‘No little buddy, just come inside, it’s cold out.’”

However it wasn’t long before Usher realised the talent and offered him a deal, Bieber then went on to meet Justin Timberlake however the deal the first deal was better because it also had L.A Reid backing him up so Justin went with Usher and it all went upwards from there…

In October 2008, Justin officialy signed with Island Records. Justin’s debut single was ‘One Time’ released in 2009 and became a big success in over 10 countries, Justin’s debut album ‘My World’ came soon after, November 17 2009, which went platinum in the United States, which JB the highest debut by a new artist in 2009 it also made Bieber the first artist to have seven songs from a debut album chart on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.Justin Bieber Dancing isn’t the only talent he has, Bieber is also a self-taught musician who plays the drums, guitar, piano and trumpet.

“I’m looking forward to influencing others in a positive way,” says Justin. “My message is you can do anything if you just put your mind to it. I grew up below the poverty line; I didn’t have as much as other people did. I think it made me stronger as a person it built my character. Now I have a 4.0 grade point average and I want to go to college and just become a better person.”
